Welcome!
I'm David Reingold and I am a Lighting Designer and Deviser. I love any form of theatrical storytelling, and I have a real passion for new works. I enjoy collaborating with playwrights and choreographers in the creation of original theatre, and I've been lucky enough to be involved in several productions as a deviser/co-writer.
I am a member of IATSE USA 829, and I am the resident lighting designer at the Center for Puppetry Arts in Atlanta (the largest puppetry theater in the US) where I oversee the recreation of designs for shows from throughout the Center's history in addition to designing new productions. Most recently you may have seen my work around Atlanta with companies including Theatrical Outfit, Actor's Express, Out Front Theatre, True Colors Theatre, and Atlanta Contemporary Dance Company. I am always excited about new projects so don't hesitate to reach out!
As a dancer, I perform with the Rhythm Keepers Tap Company in Decatur and you can catch our performance "Let's Tap" every year in March. When I'm not in the theater I can often be found noodling on the clarinet, writing short stories and plays, or exploring underground passageways in the classic roleplaying game Dungeons & Dragons.
